An Australian web design company has been fined $11,000 for violating the country’s 2003 Spam Act. The Australian Communications and Media Authority says the company, Bunology, purchased a mailing list for the sole purpose of spamming the addresses on it, and didn’t get consent from the owners of the email addresses first.
